Credibility: as a responsible publisher, Eastbourne Reporter is registered with Impress, the independent press regulator; we adhere to a strict code of conduct. We interview and research to produce reliable, trusted journalism. Organisations we feature are perceived as reputable by association.

Corporate Social Responsibility: support for us shows community engagement and support for impartial, ethical journalism, and can be used as an example of CSR investment

What’s in it for us?

A modest contribution to help us pay qualified journalists and potentially develop a print product.

We do things very differently to others: we interview people about issues that are important to Eastbourne, hold authority to account and enable residents to write about what is important to them with our community reporter scheme. We do not copy PR handouts and present them as ‘news’ or swirl rumours around social media.

All of this takes time and resources. Most of our work is currently unpaid but we believe passionately that what we are doing matters.
